Two Month Countdown

mountains and clouds

I’m sitting in my office looking at this photo and yearning to be on the trail again.  No traffic, no trains,no noise, just fresh air and lots of sunshine.  We are not ready yet, still pulling together the menus, purchasing the food, getting the support team assembled and planning the mail-drops, but it feels like I could go tomorrow.

Sunday we bought tickets to fly to Atlanta (one-way), and will soon be making plans with one member of our support team (Richard) who will pick us up and take us towards Springer Mountain.

In addition we have scheduled doctor and dentist appointments before we go.  We have both gotten our eyes checked and purchased new glasses (Dragonfly) and new contacts (Prairie Dog).

I know that there is still much to do in preparation, but I am confident that we will get it all done (and still be relatively sane) before we step foot on Springer Mountain on April 3, 2013
