New Shoes

Well, when the size nines arrived, I had blisters on my heels, making it painful to walk.  My feet had swollen/grown so that I couldn’t even get the nines on.

Dragonfly was getting new shoes, so I decided to see what was available in wider boots.  I ended up getting the Montrail Badcountry waterproof shoes.  They are wider in the toe area which seems to be what I needed,  Wearing shoes hasn’t been too much of an adjustment, but my feet do get tired and sore more quickly before the end of the day.  The blisters have almost healed though.  We will see how they hold up to 500+ miles.

See a picture of what they look like in the photo Dragonfly posted last week (mine don’t have orange shoe laces).
